Counter Terrorism Unit
Prosecuting offences arising out of Counter Terrorism is a relatively new part of the CDPP’s practice, and currently there are only Counter Terrorism Units in Sydney, Melbourne and Head Office. There are also specialist counter-terrorism prosecutors in each of the Regional Offices. The lawyers in these Units conduct the prosecutions and work on associated matters arising from this area of practice, such as advising the Australian Federal Police during their investigations.
