Social Justice & Equity

The CDPP advances the interests of social justice and equity by working with other agencies to enforce the criminal law for the benefit of the community. The CDPP recognises that it is critical that it acts consistently with principles of fairness and respect for human beings. The CDPP works to ensure that alleged offenders and other people affected by the criminal justice process are treated fairly. To support the CDPP’s contribution to the criminal justice system, the CDPP takes action to promote and maintain an internal culture which values fairness, equity and respect. The CDPP expects from its employees conduct which reflects high ethical standards. The CDPP has issued Guidelines on Official Conduct for CDPP employees. That document sets out the ethical standards expected of all employees and all CDPP employees have signed a copy of the document.
