The CDPP recognises the important role played by victims and witnesses in the prosecution process and at all times aims to treat them with courtesy, dignity and respect. The Office also understands that for many victims and witnesses becoming involved with the prosecution process is a new experience that can be very stressful, confusing and at times difficult to understand.
