How to Make an FOI Application

FOI requests are not subject to an application fee, however applications:

  • are to be in writing and may be in electronic form;
  • must state that they are being made under the Freedom of Information Act 1982;
  • must provide enough information concerning the documents sought as is reasonably necessary to enable the CDPP to identify them; and
  • must include the applicant’s name and contact details to allow for delivery of notices given under the Act. An email address may be provided in lieu of a street address.
