CDPP wins prestigious library and research award
The CDPP’s Library and Research Services team has won the 2022 Legal Information Service of the Year award announced at the Australian Law Librarians’ Association (ALLA) conference in Hobart on Thursday 26 August.
The achievement recognises the outstanding performance and services by legal information services, law libraries and those teams managing legal collections and services.
This unique award also recognises the value and importance of dedicated teamwork within the law library sector.
CDPP 2020-21 Annual Report and 2021-25 Corporate Plan available
The CDPP 2020-21 Annual Report was tabled in Parliament on Wednesday 20 October 2021.
The report shares our achievements and outcomes in 2020-21 and gives an overview of the way we work.
It highlights how we have leveraged our transformation program to ensure cultural, digital and business processes were optimised for an efficient and effective prosecution service in a pandemic environment.

The CDPP has launched a new website to provide information about the prosecution process to victims, witnesses, their carers and support people.
The CDPP Director Sarah McNaughton SC said “This site is an important way to support vulnerable victims and witnesses, who are often caught up in the prosecution process without previous experience of the legal system.”
Alert: Hoax phone calls continuing to target Australians
Members of the public are continuing to receive phone calls supposedly from the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP) requesting people to contact the Office in relation to a tax fraud warrant – ultimately seeking people to deposit money into a bank account, to send it overseas or attend a post office and put money on a Deposit Card. The calls suggest that your home is under surveillance as the correspondence sent via registered mail have returned unsigned.
